Most yoga mats in India are 61 cm wide. This one is 66 cm, which gives roughly two extra inches of working width. That matters more than it sounds: it is the difference between staying on the mat during a wide-legged forward fold and putting a hand on the floor.

The surface is natural cork over a TPE base. Cork behaves the opposite way to PVC when you sweat, becoming grippier rather than more slippery, so the mat gets more stable as a session goes on rather than less. Cork is also naturally antimicrobial, so it resists odour without chemical treatment.

The TPE base is lightweight and cushioned, giving joint support for kneeling poses and floor work while keeping the mat easy to roll and carry. Free of PVC and harsh chemicals, and the cork is harvested without felling the tree.
